“Masa” received his PhD from Osaka City University Graduate School of Medicine, where he studied the mechanisms by which oligodendrocyte progenitor cells suppress the development of neurodegenerative diseases at RIKEN CLST. After completing his PhD,  he conducted research for 6 years at a pharmaceutical company, where he led drug discovery projects for pain and neurodegenerative diseases. Masa joined the Tsai Lab as a Visiting Scientist in March 2023; his current research interest lies in facilitating the development of Alzheimer’s disease therapies by integrating multiple high-throughput screening (HTS) assays across different cell types.
